OnePlus Pad Go 2 sale date, display, processor and battery details confirmed

OnePlus has officially announced the launch date and essential specifications for its upcoming device, the OnePlus Pad Go 2. This highly anticipated tablet will be unveiled on December 17, alongside the OnePlus 15R. Consumers can look forward to two striking color options: Shadow Black and Lavender Drift. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 boasts an impressive 12.1-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, featuring a 7:5 aspect ratio and an extraordinary 88.5% display-to-body ratio. The display delivers a pixel density of 284 PPI, covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and reaches a peak brightness of 900 nits in High Brightness Mode. Furthermore, it supports Dolby Vision and has received TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certification, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience. At its core, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra octa-core chipset, built on a 4nm process. It offers configurations with 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB utilizing UFS 3.1 technology. A robust 10,050mAh battery fuels the device, supporting 33W SUPERVOOC wired charging, which OnePlus claims can provide up to 15 hours of video playback or remain on standby for up to 60 days. Additionally, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 will feature wired reverse charging capabilities, allowing it to charge other devices such as smartphones, though details on the charging speeds are still pending. It is also the first in OnePlus's more affordable tablet line to support the Pad Go 2 Stylo, which offers fast charging and can reportedly provide half a day of battery life with just a 10-minute charge. The tablet will include the Open Canvas feature, which enables split-screen multitasking and was first introduced with the OnePlus Open and subsequently on the OnePlus Pad 2 and Pad 3. Importantly, 5G connectivity will be available, but only for the Shadow Black variant. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be available for purchase starting December 18 at 12 PM, just a day after its launch. The initial pricing for the OnePlus Pad Go was set at ₹19,999, and given the rising costs of memory chips, the new model may be priced between ₹20,000 and ₹25,000.
