OnePlus brings AI Plus Mind to OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R: All you need to know

OnePlus has expanded its innovative Plus Mind feature, initially launched with the OnePlus 13s, to its flagship models, the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. This new AI-driven 'memory palace' functionality is being made available through a software update that began rolling out today, with full access expected for all devices within the next few weeks. Unlike the OnePlus 13s, which introduced a customizable Plus key replacing the traditional alert slider, the OnePlus 13 and 13R will utilize a different method to access Plus Mind. Users can now activate this feature with a simple three-finger swipe-up gesture, contrasting with the typical screenshot action found on many Android devices. Once activated, Plus Mind enables users to analyze content displayed on their screens and provides suggestions for actions, such as adding important dates to the calendar. Additionally, it allows users to save the captured data in a designated space known as Mind Space. During my trials with the OnePlus 13s, I found Plus Mind to function like an advanced screenshot tool, where the AI efficiently summarizes on-screen content. The standout feature is its capability to search through these captures using natural language queries in the AI search bar, ensuring that users can easily find and retain crucial information. Furthermore, OnePlus has announced that several other AI capabilities introduced with the OnePlus 13s—including AI Translation, AI Screen Translation, AI Search, AI Reframe, AI Perfect Shot, and AI VoiceScribe—are also being rolled out to the flagship series. However, details remain unclear regarding the availability of the redesigned OnePlus dialer, which was first seen on the OnePlus 13s. It's worth noting that the Plus Mind feature has also made its way to the recently launched OnePlus Nord 5, which includes the same Plus Key as its predecessor.
