OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its latest budget flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15R, which is slated to be unveiled in India on December 17. While the company has not disclosed all the specifications yet, a combination of promotional images and leaks has provided a glimpse into what consumers can anticipate. The initial visuals released by OnePlus highlight a sleek, flat-edged design that closely resembles the premium OnePlus 15 series. The rear camera setup features a straightforward squared arrangement, maintaining the minimalist aesthetic that has characterized recent OnePlus devices. At launch, two color options will be available: a classic Black and a vibrant Green. There are indications that the OnePlus 15R may be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which is available in China. If this is accurate, the Indian version is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, placing it in the upper mid-range segment. A significant highlight of this model is anticipated to be its battery capacity. OnePlus executive Li Jie Lou has indicated that the Ace 6T is equipped with a massive 8,000mAh battery, a feature likely to be mirrored in the 15R. Additionally, rumors suggest the phone will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, promising one of the fastest charging experiences in its class. In terms of display, leaks suggest a 165Hz refresh rate, although details regarding peak brightness and the type of display technology remain undisclosed. The camera setup is expected to include a dual 50MP rear camera system, enhancing its photographic capabilities. Furthermore, the OnePlus 15R is likely to retain the customizable Plus key introduced in recent models, as well as boast IP68 and possibly IP69 ratings based on certification hints from China. The official unveiling of the OnePlus 15R in India is just around the corner on December 17. Pricing is anticipated to see a slight increase from the OnePlus 13R, which started at ₹42,999, with early estimates suggesting the new model may begin at approximately ₹44,999.
