OnePlus is gearing up to introduce its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15R, in India on December 17. This launch follows the recent unveiling of the OnePlus 15, and anticipation is building for this performance-centric device. The official microsite is already active, revealing several key features that will define the OnePlus 15R. This new smartphone will make its debut alongside the OnePlus Pad Go 2. Once launched, customers will be able to purchase the OnePlus 15R through Amazon, the OnePlus online store, and various authorized retail partners across India. A significant highlight of the device is its integration of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which represents a notable enhancement compared to its predecessor. The OnePlus 15R promises smooth multitasking and rapid app loading due to its pairing with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Another standout feature is its impressive 7,400mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus device, surpassing the 7,300mAh battery of the standard OnePlus 15. Designed to support prolonged gaming, streaming, and productivity, the battery incorporates Silicon Nanostack technology, ensuring it retains at least 80% capacity even after four years. Additionally, it is expected to support 80W fast charging. In terms of display, the OnePlus 15R is likely to feature a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen, identical to that found in the OnePlus 15. This display can achieve a peak brightness of 1,800 nits for improved visibility in outdoor conditions and can dim to just 1 nit to enhance comfort during low-light usage. Moreover, it holds TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification, making it appealing for users who spend extended periods on their devices. For photography, the device is anticipated to come equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, complemented by an 8MP ultrawide lens. A 32MP front camera is also expected for selfies and video calls, promising reliable everyday photography. The OnePlus 15R is projected to be priced between ₹45,000 and ₹50,000 in India, a moderate increase from the OnePlus 13R's launch price of ₹42,999, which aligns with the enhancements being offered in this new model.
