OnePlus has officially unveiled its newest flagship device in India, the OnePlus 15R, which is priced starting at ₹47,999. This smartphone aims to capture the attention of buyers in the competitive sub-₹50,000 segment, directly competing with devices like the Vivo X200 FE and the upcoming Oppo Reno 15 series. For those interested in different configurations, the OnePlus 15R is available at ₹47,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version, and ₹52,999 for the model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As part of the launch promotion, customers can enjoy a ₹3,000 discount on both variants, effectively lowering the prices to ₹44,999 and ₹49,999, respectively. Notably, the price has seen a slight increase from its predecessor, the OnePlus 13R, which started at ₹42,999 for the base model. The OnePlus 15R is offered in three attractive colors: Charcoal Black, Mint Breeze, and the exclusive Electric Violet, which features a unique fiberglass finish. The device boasts a stunning 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate, a significant upgrade from the 120Hz display of the previous model. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and carries IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance, similar to the OnePlus 15. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, promising a remarkable 36% improvement in CPU performance and an 11% enhancement in GPU efficiency compared to its predecessor. The OnePlus 15R can be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage for users. Additional features include a Touch Response chip and a G2 Wi-Fi chip, with the display capable of dimming down to just 2 nits, making it more comfortable for nighttime reading. The device packs a robust 7,400mAh battery with support for 80W SUPERVOOC wired fast charging. Running on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, OnePlus promises four years of OS updates and six years of security patches, ensuring longevity for users. Photographers will appreciate the dual-camera setup, which includes a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor featuring an f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that offers a 112-degree field of view. The front-facing camera is a 32MP shooter that supports 4K video recording at 120fps, catering to all selfie enthusiasts.
