OnePlus 15 launch imminent in India — leaks reveal key specs and expected price

OnePlus has kicked off the anticipation for its upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 15, with an official teaser in India. A newly launched microsite on an e-commerce platform hints at an official announcement expected next month. The company has confirmed its design along with an eye-catching Sand Storm color variant, but leaks have already provided a glimpse into its impressive features. The OnePlus 15 is rumored to boast a massive 7,300mAh battery, significantly outpacing the current flagship models from competitors like Apple, Samsung, and Google. This battery capacity is expected to offer users extended usage time. Additionally, the device is likely to support 120W fast charging, potentially allowing it to recharge at a pace much quicker than its rivals. Under its sleek exterior, the OnePlus 15 is set to house Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is touted as the most powerful and efficient chipset available. This processor is also anticipated to power several other flagship devices soon to be released, including the iQOO 15 and Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra. Display enhancements are on the way as well. The OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, co-developed with BOE, which will provide a refresh rate of up to 165Hz—an upgrade from the 120Hz seen on the OnePlus 13. Reports indicate that this display will have ultra-slim bezels measuring just 1.15mm, promising an immersive viewing experience with enhanced touch responsiveness. On the photography front, the smartphone is rumored to come equipped with a triple camera system, led by a 50MP sensor and featuring a telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom. Following the strong photographic performance of the OnePlus 13, expectations for the OnePlus 15's camera capabilities are soaring. Moreover, the brand is said to be incorporating a new “Glacier Cooling System,” which includes a larger vapor chamber and a dual-layer capillary structure. This innovative system, along with Glacier Supercritical Aerogel, aims to optimize heat management during demanding tasks such as gaming and high-resolution video recording. According to leak specialist Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin), the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model may be priced around GBP 949 (approximately ₹1,11,000). However, the base model is projected to be available in India for about ₹70,000 to ₹75,000, positioning it as a strong contender in the premium smartphone market.
