OnePlus 15 global launch date, specifications and images leaked ahead of launch

The highly anticipated OnePlus 15 is gearing up for its official introduction in China within the next few weeks. Recent leaks suggest that this flagship smartphone may also make its way to global markets, including India, sooner than initially thought. With the launch date approaching, details are surfacing rapidly, confirming various aspects of the device. Scheduled for a debut on October 27 in China, reports indicate that the OnePlus 15 could hit global markets, including India, on November 13, right after the domestic launch. If these timelines are accurate, the OnePlus 15 will not only outpace the Galaxy S26 series in terms of launch but will also break away from its usual early January release pattern. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a stunning 165Hz display and will move away from the Hasselblad branding in favor of the new in-house Detail Max engine for its camera system. The design appears to be an evolution of the OnePlus 13, showcasing a square camera module and replacing the traditional alert slider with a new 'Plus' Key. According to the latest leaks, the OnePlus 15 may sport a 6.78-inch BOE X3 LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a remarkable peak brightness of 1800 nits. It is also anticipated to come equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage technology. The device could be powered by a robust 7,300 mAh battery, offering support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Additionally, it may be the first smartphone to ship with the new OxygenOS 16 operating system. The Sand Storm variant has been officially revealed, but leaks hint at the availability of Black and Purple versions as well. In terms of photography, the OnePlus 15 might feature an impressive camera setup, including a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP JN5 3.5x telephoto periscope lens. For selfies, a 32MP autofocus camera is expected to be included. Further insights into the OnePlus 15's design have been shared through detailed photos released by the company on its Weibo account, building excitement for its upcoming launch.
