OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, to launch in India on 13 November

OnePlus has officially announced that its highly anticipated flagship device, the OnePlus 15, will make its debut in India on November 13. This launch follows a recent introduction in China and marks a shift from the company's previous January launch schedule in India. While the initial reveal in China showcased the OnePlus 15 in two color options, Indian consumers can look forward to all three colors from the original launch: Sand Storm, Infinite Black, and Ultra Violet. Notably, the OnePlus 15 will be the first device to run on OxygenOS 16 straight out of the box, enhancing the user experience right from the start. Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, promising high performance. The design has also undergone changes; the traditional alert slider has been replaced with a new Plus Key, a capacitive multifunction button reminiscent of Apple's Action Button. The camera module has shifted from a circular design to a more angular setup, and there is no Hasselblad branding this time, as OnePlus has opted to utilize its own DetailMax Engine for photography. The device features a stunning 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a remarkable 165 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. In High Brightness Mode, it can reach an impressive brightness level of 1,800 nits. Additionally, the OnePlus 15 is equipped with a P3 display chip to enhance visual performance and a G2 gaming network chip to boost gaming and connectivity. Battery life is another highlight, with a robust 7,300 mAh capacity supporting 120W SuperVOOC wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. On the photography front, the rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens. The front camera features a 32MP Sony IMX709 sensor with autofocus capabilities. In terms of video recording, the rear camera can capture footage at up to 8K 30 fps and 4K 120 fps, while the front camera supports 4K recording at 60 fps. The pricing for the OnePlus 15 when it launched in China varies by configuration, with the base model starting at CNY 3,999 (approximately ₹49,259). It remains to be seen how these prices will translate into the Indian market, especially considering the previous model's pricing strategy. As anticipation builds, the OnePlus 15 promises to deliver a compelling blend of cutting-edge technology and stylish design when it arrives in India next month.
