OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC launched in India

The OnePlus 15 has officially launched in India, showcasing the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, marking it as the first smartphone in the country to feature this advanced Qualcomm chipset. This new device is set to compete with upcoming models such as the Oppo Find X9, Vivo X300, Realme GT 8 Pro, and iQOO 15, all of which are expected to hit the Indian market shortly. Pricing for the OnePlus 15 begins at ₹72,999 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant, while the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage option is priced at ₹75,999. To entice buyers, OnePlus is offering an immediate discount for HDFC bank card users, reducing the effective prices to ₹68,999 and ₹75,999 respectively. The smartphone is available in three attractive colors: Absolute Black, Sand Storm, and Misty Purple. Sales for the OnePlus 15 will commence at 8 PM on platforms including Amazon, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, the OnePlus app, and the official website, along with OnePlus Experience Stores. Additionally, during the early sale period from November 13 to 16, customers purchasing the OnePlus 15 will receive OnePlus Nord Buds for free. Existing OnePlus users can also benefit from a trade-in credit of up to ₹4,000 if they purchase the device within the first month of its sale. The OnePlus 15 boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a 165Hz refresh rate. While the resolution has been slightly downgraded from the QHD panel found on the OnePlus 13, the company justified this choice to accommodate the enhanced 165Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, offering configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra+ RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. An innovative dedicated touch response chip enhances the device's performance with a 3,200Hz sampling rate, while a special Wi-Fi chip ensures stable connectivity over long distances. Running on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, the OnePlus 15 introduces several AI-driven features, including Plus Mind integration with Google Gemini. OnePlus has committed to providing four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for this model. In terms of photography, the OnePlus 15 is equipped with a triple-camera setup on its rear, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with a 116-degree field of view, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical and 7x digital lossless zoom. For selfies, it includes a 32MP Sony IMX709 RGBW camera with autofocus. Powering the device is a robust 7,300mAh dual-cell battery that supports 120W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
