The anticipation is building as OnePlus prepares to unveil its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, during a launch event in China scheduled for October 27. This highly anticipated device is also set to make its entry into the Indian market in November, marking a shift from OnePlus's traditional January release timeline. In the lead-up to the launch, OnePlus has shared several key features of the OnePlus 15. Notably, the device will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring top-tier performance. Additionally, the phone boasts a stunning 165Hz display, an upgrade from the previous model’s 120Hz screen. With just days left until the official reveal, OnePlus has disclosed that the OnePlus 15 will feature a robust 7,300 mAh battery, supporting lightning-fast charging capabilities of 120W wired and 50W wireless. The device will also sport ultra-thin bezels measuring just 1.15mm, which could surpass the narrow bezels found on the iPhone 17 and Samsung Galaxy S25. In terms of aesthetics, the OnePlus 15 will be available in three distinct colors: Sand Dunes, Absolute Black, and Fog Purple. The introduction of the new 165Hz display has prompted OnePlus to collaborate with popular games like League of Legends and Clash of Clans to optimize the gaming experience on this new panel. Rumored specifications suggest that the OnePlus 15 could feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, along with support for LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. When it comes to photography, OnePlus is moving away from the Hasselblad branding, opting instead for its proprietary DetailMax Engine. The smartphone is expected to include a triple camera system with a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens. The front camera may also feature a 32MP sensor with autofocus, similar to its predecessor. Video recording capabilities are set to impress, with support for 8K and 4K at 120FPS from the rear cameras and 4K at 60FPS from the front. The OnePlus 15 will launch with the new OxygenOS 16, built on Android 16, in India and other international markets. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new device.
