OnePlus 15 5G leaks: Expected price, launch date and what to expect

OnePlus is gearing up to launch its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 15 5G, with a debut expected in China as early as October 2025. While the brand has yet to announce a global release date, analysts predict that it could hit markets like India by January 2026. Recent leaks have shed light on the anticipated features of this new model. Notably, OnePlus appears to be shifting from its traditional circular camera design to a rectangular camera module positioned in the upper right corner of the device's back, reminiscent of the OnePlus 13 series. Additionally, the OnePlus 15 may introduce a new customizable button, allowing users to tailor functionalities according to their preferences. On the display front, the smartphone is rumored to boast a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, characterized by subtly curved edges and ultra-slim bezels measuring just 1.15mm. The device is also expected to support a vibrant 165Hz refresh rate at a 1.5K resolution. The camera setup is projected to include a triple 50MP array, which will cover main, ultrawide, and telephoto photography with up to 3x optical zoom. There are even whispers of a potential 200MP periscope telephoto lens, although this remains unconfirmed until the official reveal. Furthermore, OnePlus seems poised to conclude its collaboration with Hasselblad, opting instead to develop its own imaging solutions. Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 5G will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising improved performance and advanced AI functionalities. Configurations may include up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, with the device operating on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. In terms of battery life, a robust 7,000mAh battery is anticipated, accompanied by 120W fast charging technology aimed at providing both endurance and rapid power replenishment. As for pricing, the device is expected to align with OnePlus’s previous flagship models, likely around ₹70,000 in the Indian market, although official announcements are yet to come. With its enhanced specifications, refreshed aesthetics, and strong focus on performance, the OnePlus 15 5G is poised to be one of the most noteworthy smartphone launches of 2025.
