OnePlus 13s launching on 5 June in India: Expected price, specs, and more

The highly anticipated OnePlus 13s is set to launch in India on June 5, introducing exciting new AI features and the innovative Plus Key. This compact flagship smartphone will be equipped with the cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and is believed to be a rebranded version of the recently released OnePlus 13T in China. The OnePlus 13s will be available in three striking colors: Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and Green Silk. Unlike its predecessors, it will feature a bold rectangular camera setup, moving away from the traditional circular design seen on the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. Notably, the iconic alert slider has been replaced with the Plus Key, a customizable button reminiscent of the iPhone, which can perform various tasks such as switching ring profiles, launching the camera, initiating translations, and recording. A standout capability of this key is its integration with OnePlus AI Plus Mind, designed to capture and analyze on-screen content for future reference. In addition to the Plus Key, the OnePlus 13s will introduce a suite of AI enhancements, including AI VoiceScribe, AI Translation, AI Search, AI Reframe, and AI Best Face 2.0. Enhanced compatibility with Google's AI assistant, Gemini, will also be a significant feature, ensuring native apps like OnePlus Notes and Clock work seamlessly. Spec-wise, the OnePlus 13s is expected to share much of its hardware with the OnePlus 13T, but will upgrade the selfie camera to a 32MP auto-focus lens, replacing the 16MP on the Chinese variant. If the device mirrors the OnePlus 13T, it may sport a 6.32-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1600 nits. Rumored specifications include LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, alongside the possibility of an optical fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the OnePlus 13s may offer an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, although it won’t be fully waterproof. The device is expected to run on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, similar to other recent OnePlus models. For photography, it might feature a dual-camera system, highlighted by a 50MP IMX906 main camera with OIS and a 50MP 2x telephoto lens. While the official pricing will be unveiled during the launch, leaks suggest the OnePlus 13s could be positioned around ₹55,000 in India, placing it strategically between the OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 13.
