Oakley Meta glasses India launch in December: Price, pre-order and features explained

In a groundbreaking move, Oakley and Meta have launched a new line of performance AI glasses in India, marking a significant advancement in wearable technology. The collaboration merges Oakley’s iconic design with Meta’s innovative technology, creating a stylish product that is also packed with impressive features. Caio Amato, Global President of Oakley, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "For 50 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of what is possible, obsessed with solving unsolved problems. Together with Meta, we are setting new bounds of reality. It’s about enhancing performance and amplifying human potential like never before. This is just the beginning of a new era for sports." Rocco Basilico, Chief Wearables Officer at EssilorLuxottica, echoed this enthusiasm, saying, "This launch signifies a bold new chapter in our wearables journey. With Oakley’s heritage of design and Meta’s advancements in AI and spatial computing, we aim to redefine industry standards. Our vision encompasses a connected eyewear category that addresses various lifestyles and communities, merging design, functionality, and emotional engagement to unlock new human connections. There’s much more to come." The newly introduced Oakley Meta HSTN glasses represent the latest in performance AI eyewear. They come equipped with a built-in camera, open-ear speakers, and an IPX4 water resistance rating. These glasses allow users to capture Ultra HD 3K video hands-free, while the powerful speakers let wearers enjoy their favorite playlists and podcasts without losing awareness of their surroundings. With a battery life of up to 8 hours during use and 19 hours on standby, the glasses support fast charging, reaching 50% capacity in just about 20 minutes. Additionally, a portable charging case provides an extra 48 hours of power. Enhancing the user experience, the Oakley Meta HSTN seamlessly integrates with fitness apps like Strava and Garmin for real-time performance tracking. Powered by Meta AI, these glasses offer users real-time assistance; for example, a user can command, "Hey Meta, take a video," and the recording begins hands-free. For the Indian market, new features of Meta AI include hands-free voice interactions and Hindi language support, allowing users to communicate in their preferred language. Additionally, they can now interact with the Celebrity AI Voice featuring Deepika Padukone, specifically in Indian English. Upcoming features will also include localized capabilities for convenient tasks like UPI Lite payments. The Oakley Meta HSTN will be available in six frame and lens combinations, all Rx-ready, and will be priced starting at INR 41,800. Pre-orders commenced on November 25 on sunglasshut.in, with official sales starting on December 1, 2025, at various optical and sunglass retailers across the country and online.
