His core message was unmistakable: Nvidia is poised to support Europe in establishing its own artificial intelligence infrastructure, empowering the region to shape its technological future. Huang has positioned Nvidia as more than just a chip manufacturer, emphasizing its role as an infrastructure powerhouse. "In order to compete and cultivate a significant ecosystem, Europe must unite and develop its own capabilities," Huang stated during his address at the Viva Tech conference. A pivotal partnership announced during this tour was between Nvidia and the French startup Mistral, aimed at creating an AI cloud leveraging Nvidia's GPUs. Huang frequently discussed the concept of "sovereign AI," which advocates for the establishment of data centers within national borders to serve local populations, thereby reducing reliance on foreign servers.
