Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang sells another $37 million worth of stock

Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, has recently sold 225,000 shares of the semiconductor giant, amounting to approximately $37 million, as revealed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This transaction is part of a broader strategy initiated in March, allowing Huang to sell up to 6 million shares of the prominent artificial intelligence firm. Huang began his stock trading activities last month, with his latest sale disclosed last Friday. Since the start of this year, he has liquidated 1.2 million shares, raking in around $190 million. In contrast, his stock sales last year were significantly higher, exceeding $700 million. The surging demand for artificial intelligence and the reliance on high-performance graphics processing units (GPUs) have significantly boosted Huang’s net worth, contributing to Nvidia’s impressive rise to a market capitalization exceeding $4 trillion. This remarkable growth has positioned Huang's wealth above that of Warren Buffett, as noted in Bloomberg's Billionaire Index. In a noteworthy development, Nvidia announced plans to resume sales of its H20 chips to China, following indications from the Trump administration that it would approve necessary export licenses. Earlier this year, the government had mandated that Nvidia secure licenses to ship these chips, which are tailored for the Chinese market. "The U.S. government has assured NVIDIA that licenses will be granted, and NVIDIA hopes to start deliveries soon," the company expressed in a statement on Tuesday. During a press conference on Wednesday in Beijing, Huang also indicated aspirations to sell even more advanced chips to China in the future. Additionally, Huang was not the only executive to divest shares; board member Brooke Seawell also sold stock worth $16 million. Analysts predict that the news regarding H20 could enhance Nvidia's revenue estimates by 10%.
