In a recent update, CNBC's Jim Cramer highlighted the significant impact of declining oil prices on the stock market, while emphasizing that the true excitement for investors lies within Nvidia's artificial intelligence event this week. The drop in oil prices, attributed to President Donald Trump's decision to permit Iranian oil to navigate through the Strait of Hormuz, contributed to a widespread rally in stocks. Cramer noted on his show, "Mad Money," that this development was pivotal, causing crude oil prices to retreat to the mid-$90s, alleviating concerns about a potential escalation in the Iran conflict that could threaten global oil supplies. The easing oil prices prompted a surge in stock values, with West Texas Intermediate crude settling down 5.3% to just below $94 per barrel on Monday. This shift allowed the S&P 500 to rise by 1%, while the Nasdaq increased by 1.2% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a gain of 0.8%. Cramer pointed out that just days prior, Wall Street was anxious about oil prices potentially reaching $150, which could have severe implications for gas prices and the economy. Despite briefly surpassing $100 per barrel earlier in the day, oil prices ultimately finished lower, which ignited stock buying activity, particularly in AI-focused companies like Nvidia. At the forefront of this interest, Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, opened the company's GTC developers conference with an inspiring keynote address. Cramer remarked, "Investors are acquiring everything related to AI, from hardware to software and infrastructure. They are fully embracing the vision that Huang represents." Huang projected an astonishing $1 trillion in orders for Nvidia's chip platforms, Blackwell and its successor, Vera Rubin, expected through 2027, significantly up from the previous year's $500 billion forecast. Cramer asserted, "This is the future, although it may be hard to perceive amidst current global challenges." There was a palpable sense of optimism as Nvidia's shares climbed 1.65% to $183 following consecutive losses earlier in the week. Cramer is scheduled to interview Jensen Huang during Tuesday's episode of "Mad Money."
