Nvidia is reportedly planning its own open source OpenClaw competitor

Nvidia is gearing up to introduce its own open source AI agent platform, NemoClaw, designed to rival existing solutions like OpenClaw, according to a recent report by Wired. Sources familiar with Nvidia's initiatives indicate that the tech giant has been actively pitching this platform to potential corporate partners in advance of its annual developer conference scheduled for next week. Among the companies reportedly in discussions with Nvidia are industry leaders such as Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike. However, the specific advantages these companies might gain from collaborating with the open source platform remain unclear. NemoClaw, as its name suggests, aims to compete directly with OpenClaw, which garnered significant attention earlier this year. OpenClaw allows users to control “always-on” AI agents from their personal devices, employing various underlying models. In related news, OpenAI recently recruited Peter Steinberger, the creator of OpenClaw, to lead the development of the next generation of personal agents, although the OpenClaw project will operate under an independent foundation with OpenAI’s backing.
