Nothing Phone (3a) Lite India launch date confirmed

The innovative tech brand, Nothing, has officially announced the launch of its most budget-friendly smartphone to date: the Phone (3a) Lite. Following a successful international introduction last month, this eagerly awaited device is expected to hit Indian shores on November 27th, aiming to attract budget-savvy consumers who are looking for quality design alongside a streamlined software experience. Positioned as Nothing’s most economical offering outside of its CMF series, the Phone (3a) Lite is projected to retail for significantly less than ₹24,000. This competitive pricing strategy is designed to challenge established players in the mid-range smartphone market, known for their feature-rich devices. The Phone (3a) Lite will showcase Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic, though it will omit the more intricate Glyph Interface found in its more premium models, featuring only a single essential Glyph light. At launch, consumers can expect both black and white color variants. While final specifications for the Indian model are still pending confirmation, it is anticipated to closely align with the global version. This means users can look forward to a power-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, complemented by 8GB of RAM and a robust 5,000mAh battery featuring 33W fast charging capabilities. The device will also boast a 6.77-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display. On the photography front, the Phone (3a) Lite is expected to include a triple-camera setup, highlighted by a 50MP main sensor. The user interface will be powered by Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. Importantly, Nothing has pledged to provide three years of Android OS updates alongside six years of security patches. However, new users may encounter some pre-installed apps, including Instagram and Facebook, which can be removed but indicate a shift in the company’s previously minimalist approach to user interface design. The November 27th launch will reveal the exact pricing and availability details for the Indian market.
