Netflix increases prices for all plans by up to $2 per month

In a significant move, Netflix has announced an increase in its subscription prices, with adjustments affecting all plans. The ad-supported option now stands at $9 per month, a rise from the previous $8. Meanwhile, the Standard ad-free plan has jumped from $18 to $20 per month. For those opting for the Premium ad-free plan, the price has escalated from $25 to $27 per month, allowing access for up to four devices simultaneously while offering 4K resolution and spatial audio features. This latest price adjustment follows a previous hike in January 2025, which saw subscribers facing increases of up to 16 percent. As a point of reference, Disney+ offers its service starting at $12 per month with ads and $19 for an ad-free experience. Despite the price increases, Netflix has not provided any specific reasoning for the new rates and has not responded to inquiries for further clarification. Subscribers may want to consider their options as the streaming landscape continues to evolve.
