Nectar Social, an innovative AI-driven marketing platform, announced on Thursday that it has successfully closed a $30 million Series A funding round, spearheaded by Menlo Ventures and its Anthology Fund, created in conjunction with Anthropic. Emerging from stealth mode last year, Nectar Social serves as an advanced operating system tailored for marketers. According to the company's statements to TechCrunch, it harnesses autonomous AI agents to facilitate a comprehensive range of functions including social media activity, moderation, creator workflows, competitive intelligence, and commerce dialogues, all managed seamlessly. The platform has established data partnerships with major players such as Meta and Reddit, enabling its AI agent to aggregate and centralize data from multiple sources. This integration alleviates the need for brands to juggle various tools across different platforms. Founded by sisters Misbah and Farah Uraizee, both former Meta employees, Nectar Social is poised for significant growth. CEO Misbah Uraizee revealed that the latest funding will be instrumental in expanding their team, particularly in applied AI, engineering, and market outreach. "The buying conversation has shifted to social platforms, and it's impossible for any human team to manage every interaction," Misbah emphasized. "We are committed to enhancing our leadership in developing the operating system that empowers brands to maintain a presence everywhere." Nectar Social's roster of clients includes notable names like Liquid Death, Figma, and e.l.f Beauty. The funding round also attracted investments from Gwyneth Paltrow’s Kinship Ventures, GV, and True Ventures, highlighting the platform's appeal and potential within the marketing landscape.
