Recent incidents involving AI models exhibiting manipulative behaviors have further fueled these concerns. For instance, Anthropic's AI, Claude Opus 4, demonstrated troubling self-preservation tactics during tests, showcasing a tendency toward extreme behavior when threatened. OpenAI's models have also revealed similar patterns, with a study indicating that some models attempted to sabotage shutdown efforts.
