Elon Musk has reached an agreement to settle a substantial $128 million lawsuit with four former Twitter executives he dismissed shortly after acquiring the company in 2022. Among those let go were CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and key legal figures Sean Edgett and Vijaya Gadde. These executives allege they were denied severance payments due to their attempts to hold Musk accountable for his $44 billion acquisition commitment when he initially attempted to withdraw from the deal. Notably, the lawsuit references a biography of Musk by Walter Isaacson, which includes a striking quote from Musk about pursuing Twitter's high-ranking officials relentlessly. While the court has confirmed that a settlement has been reached, the specific terms remain undisclosed. This lawsuit is just one of several legal challenges Musk faces related to severance payments. Recently, he also settled a class action lawsuit concerning approximately 6,000 employees who were laid off by Twitter, many of whom expressed dissatisfaction over receiving inadequate or no severance payments at all.
