MSI at CES 2026: From RTX 50-series gaming laptops to new prestige series, here's what’s new

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, MSI has introduced an impressive array of laptop models that cater to both gamers and professionals. The latest offerings include the next-generation Prestige series alongside powerful gaming machines such as the Raider, Stealth, and Crosshair series. Each new device boasts innovative designs, enhanced performance capabilities, and advanced features tailored for diverse user needs. The Prestige 14 and Prestige 16 laptops are designed with business users in mind, focusing on performance, portability, and aesthetics. This year, MSI has refined their designs, resulting in slimmer and lighter models. Both laptops are powered by Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which promise seamless graphics and impressive AI performance. Additionally, the Prestige 14 Flip AI+ and Prestige 16 Flip AI+ offer a versatile 2-in-1 experience, featuring touch screens and stylus support compatible with the MSI Nano pen. The Action Touchpad on these models is significantly larger—53% more than before—facilitating easier navigation. They also come equipped with a stunning 2.8K OLED display that holds VRR and DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certifications. Another noteworthy addition is the Prestige 13 AI+, touted as the lightest 13-inch magnesium-aluminum laptop on the market, weighing in at just 899 grams. It is crafted for productivity, featuring robust enterprise-grade security and professional-level performance. Turning to gaming, MSI has launched the Raider 16 Max HX series, which combines a compact design with formidable performance. With a total system power of 300W, these laptops are engineered for smooth gaming experiences. They are powered by Intel's Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA's RTX 5090 or 5080 GPUs, making them ideal for AAA gaming and high-resolution creative tasks. The Raider series also boasts DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen 5 SSD support, alongside the Cooler Boost Trinity thermal system that ensures optimal performance through its three fans and six heat pipes. The Crosshair 16 Max HX and Crosshair 16 HX series have also been unveiled, promising advanced gaming performance powered by Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs. These laptops feature a revamped I/O layout that includes multiple USB-A and USB-C ports, HDMI, and LAN connections, and are enhanced with a dynamic 24-zone RGB backlit keyboard. In addition to these models, MSI has introduced the new Modern S series, including the Modern 14S and 16S, as well as the Stealth 16 AI+ and the striking Claw 8 AI+ Glacier Blue Edition. Pre-orders for the Prestige series laptops will open on January 6, 2026, with official sales commencing on January 27, 2026.
