
Motorola has officially introduced the Edge 70 smartphone in India, expanding its Edge lineup in the premium mid-range market. This new device emphasizes a sleek design, robust durability, and advanced charging capabilities, alongside a suite of artificial intelligence features. With a price tag of ₹29,999 for the sole configuration featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the Edge 70 offers a compelling option for consumers. Additionally, buyers can enjoy a ₹1,000 discount through select bank card promotions. The smartphone will be available through Flipkart, the Motorola India website, and authorized retail outlets nationwide. The Edge 70 showcases a stunning 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and can achieve a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Its screen is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content for an enhanced viewing experience. Constructed with an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, the device is exceptionally thin at just 5.99mm and weighs approximately 159g. It also features impressive IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification. Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, complemented by 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Out of the box, it runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI overlay. Motorola has committed to providing three major Android updates and four years of security patches for this device. In terms of AI capabilities, the Edge 70 is equipped with several innovative features, including Next Move, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention 2.0, Remember This with Recall, and Co-pilot. On the photography front, it features a triple rear camera system, highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a three-in-one light sensor. For selfies and video calls, users can take advantage of a 50-megapixel front camera. The device supports video recording capabilities of up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, enhanced by AI-powered features like AI Video Enhancement, AI Action Shot, and AI Photo Enhancement. The Edge 70 is powered by a substantial 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which Motorola claims can sustain up to 31 hours of continuous video playback. Charging options include a fast 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, making the Edge 70 one of the most versatile smartphones in its category.
