Motorola has officially announced that its latest device, the Motorola Signature, will launch in India on January 7, 2026. This release comes just a day after the debut of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 15 and Realme 15 series, marking a competitive start to the year. The Motorola Signature is designed as a premium smartphone, featuring a unique 'fabric' finish and a flat display with a cut-out for the front camera. The device emphasizes camera capabilities, positioning itself as a strong contender in the high-end market. Notably, the power and volume buttons will be located on the right side, while the left side is expected to include a customizable button, akin to features seen in devices from OnePlus, Apple, and Nothing. Earlier rumors suggest that the Motorola Signature might be a rebranded version of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. Recent leaks from renowned tipster Evan Blass have provided renders of the phone, and it has also appeared on Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications. The device is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, featuring six cores clocked at 3.32GHz alongside two performance cores at 3.89GHz, and is likely to be paired with the Adreno 829 GPU. In terms of software, the Motorola Signature is expected to run on Android 16, most likely utilizing Motorola’s Hello UI, which offers a near-stock experience but includes ads and bloatware. The smartphone will reportedly come with an impressive 16GB of RAM, further reinforcing its status in the premium segment. Color options for the Motorola Signature are rumored to include Carbon and Martini Olive. The device is also expected to sport a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display and a triple-camera setup on the rear, with one of the lenses possibly being a telephoto. As the inaugural model in this new series, the Motorola Signature's launch raises curiosity about its market positioning. With its high-end specifications, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a triple 50MP camera system, it may find itself in direct competition with devices like the OnePlus 15R and the upcoming Oppo Reno 15 and Realme 16 Pro series.
