Motorola has officially announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone, the Edge 60, scheduled to hit the Indian market on June 10. This addition to the Edge series will join the existing Edge 60 Stylus and Edge 60 Pro models. The Edge 60 is equipped with a stunning 6.7-inch 1.5K Quad Curved pOLED display, offering HDR10+ support and a complete DCI-P3 color gamut. With an IP68 and IP69 rating, this device is designed to endure submersion in water up to 1.5 meters and withstand high-pressure water jets from any angle. Initial teaser images reveal a design that closely resembles its predecessors in the Edge 60 lineup, featuring a vegan leather back and a square camera module. According to leaks from tipster Abhishek Yadav on X (previously Twitter), the Edge 60 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a more advanced version of last year's Dimensity 7300, which has been integrated into several popular mid-range smartphones such as CMF Phone 1, Infinix Note 50s, and Lava Agni 3. The device is expected to come with UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4x RAM. Running on Motorola's custom user interface based on Android 15, the Edge 60 promises three years of operating system updates and four years of security patches. On the photographic front, it is likely to feature a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities. For selfies and video calls, a 50MP front camera is also anticipated. The smartphone is rumored to include a robust 5,500mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support, although details on wireless charging capabilities remain unclear.
