Microsoft is bringing back its beloved holiday sweater tradition for 2025 after a brief hiatus, much to the delight of fans. This year's $80 design, dubbed the 'Artifact Holiday Sweater,' features a nostalgic collection of pixelated icons that will resonate with long-time Windows users, including Notepad, Reversi, Paint, MS-DOS, and Internet Explorer, alongside the familiar MSN butterfly logo. In a charming nod to nostalgia, Clippy once again takes center stage, radiating cheer as part of the festive design. However, this sweater also embraces modernity, showcasing a few contemporary symbols such as a sunglasses-clad emoji, a '50' representing Microsoft's 50th anniversary, and even a Minecraft Creeper face, reflecting the evolution of the company's brand. Yet, not all elements have garnered universal approval. A pixelated monochrome icon representing Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant on the right sleeve has sparked some debate, with some fans questioning its inclusion. Despite this, the sweater remains a delightful blend of past and present, poised to ignite cheerful conversations at holiday gatherings.
