Microsoft's Satya Nadella says job cuts have been 'weighing heavily' on him

In a recent communication to employees, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella revealed the profound impact that recent layoffs have had on him personally. Recruit Holdings, for example, announced it would let go of 1,300 employees from its human resources technology division, attributing the decision to the influence of artificial intelligence. One employee voiced their concerns on LinkedIn, stating, "I have loved working for this company, still do, but this has done so much damage to that loyalty because it has shown that Microsoft's espoused values do not apply to business decisions at the macro level." Despite the layoffs, Microsoft continues to be a leader in the tech arena, particularly as its Windows and Office products remain dominant players, and Azure cloud services have experienced accelerated growth thanks to the demand for AI capabilities.
