In a bid to bolster confidence in Windows 11, Microsoft has been vocal about its commitment to improving the operating system. Windows VP Pavan Davuluri has made several public statements this year reiterating the company's focus on quality. His most recent note, titled "Our Commitment to Windows Quality," emphasizes the importance of user feedback. Despite its widespread use, Windows 11 has faced criticism from enthusiasts, primarily due to persistent bugs and an influx of unsolicited features and advertisements. Users have expressed frustration over the operating system's clutter, which sometimes detracts from the overall experience. Davuluri acknowledged this feedback, stating, "Every day, we hear from the community about how you experience Windows. Over the past several months, the team and I have spent a great deal of time analyzing your feedback." He highlighted the passion of users who genuinely care about enhancing Windows. To demonstrate its commitment, Microsoft announced a series of improvements set to be implemented for Windows Insider Program testers by the end of April. A significant highlight is the restoration of the ability for users to position their taskbars on the sides or top of their screens—an option that was removed with a previous update in 2021. This change aims to address long-standing user requests and improve overall functionality.
