Microsoft hired a Google exec to replace security boss Charlie Bell, who is moving to a new IC role, internal memo shows

Having spent over 15 years at Microsoft prior to her tenure at Google, she played critical roles in the development of major products such as Windows and Office, and was instrumental in shaping the company's security solutions. Charlie Bell joined Microsoft in 2021 to lead a new organization dedicated to cybersecurity after a successful stint at Amazon Web Services.
