Details regarding severance packages, visa concerns, and access to company resources were also included in the email. Earlier communications had already indicated that Meta planned to cut its global workforce by 10%, which translates to approximately 8,000 positions. In conjunction with these layoffs, the company is reallocating over 7,000 employees to focus on its expanding efforts in artificial intelligence.
