Chris Cox, the Chief Product Officer at Meta, recently expressed his vision for the future of computing, highlighting smart glasses as the next frontier in wearable technology. In an interview with CNBC's Julia Boorstin, Cox stated, "We will communicate with them, see through them, and use gestures just as we do in our daily interactions, to engage with our devices." He emphasized that the evolution of interfaces would lead to increasingly natural interactions, suggesting that smart glasses could redefine how we use technology. Recently unveiled, the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, priced at $799, feature a discreet in-lens display that can be navigated through hand movements facilitated by a neural wristband. Cox elaborated on the functionality of these innovative glasses, revealing that users will have the ability to record videos and send messages using voice commands or by employing handwriting gestures on their knees. This advancement marks a significant step towards integrating smart technology seamlessly into everyday life.
