The lineup of judges for the Startup Battlefield 2025 is becoming increasingly impressive. Following an initial group of influential venture capitalists, TechCrunch Disrupt is set to feature an additional set of esteemed investors who will rigorously assess emerging founders and their groundbreaking ideas. This year's competition culminates in a chance to win a remarkable $100,000 prize, taking place from October 27 to 29 at the Moscone West in San Francisco. These newly announced judges bring a wealth of experience and expertise that can significantly influence the trajectory of participating startups. They will be on the Disrupt Stage, ready to pose tough questions and provide invaluable feedback. Among the new judges is Crissy Behrens, a partner at Insight Partners since 2021, where she concentrates on high-growth software investments. Her background spans various stages of startup development—from seed funding to IPOs—equipping her with a unique perspective that benefits the founders she supports. Charles Hudson, founder and managing partner of Precursor Ventures, is another key figure joining the panel. His firm prioritizes early-stage investments in promising software and hardware startups, focusing on the individuals behind the ideas rather than just the products. With over 400 companies in his portfolio, Hudson has played a pivotal role in the success of numerous startups, including several notable exits. Nicolas Sauvage, president of TDK Ventures, leads a $350 million initiative aimed at fostering innovation in the digital and energy sectors. Since its inception in 2019, TDK Ventures has invested in 45 startups, including multiple unicorns. His consistent recognition on the GCV Powerlist underscores his influence in the corporate venture capital landscape. Katie Stanton, founder of Moxxie Ventures, brings her extensive experience from Silicon Valley giants such as Twitter and Google, as well as her time in public service. With a portfolio that includes over 100 early-stage companies, Stanton’s insights are invaluable to the next generation of entrepreneurs. Rounding out the group is Santi Subotovsky from Emergence Capital, known for his strategic investments in companies like Zoom. His work with startups and accelerators has established him as a key player in nurturing innovative ideas, particularly in the tech space. As the excitement builds for TechCrunch Disrupt 2025, the event promises to unite over 10,000 startups and venture capital leaders. It's the ideal platform for founders to showcase their innovations and connect with influential investors.
