Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited (REIL), the ambitious AI collaboration between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Meta Platforms, has appointed Parminder Singh as its inaugural CEO. Singh, a veteran in the technology sector across the Asia-Pacific region, is set to steer this groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing enterprise AI in India. "The time for enterprise AI in India is now; this is not just a future vision but an immediate opportunity," Singh stated. He emphasized the necessity for Indian businesses to have a reliable AI partner that comprehends both the technological landscape and the business environment. With over 30 years of experience at renowned global tech companies such as Google, Apple, Twitter, and IBM, Singh brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. At Google, he was instrumental in managing the display advertising business for the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing billion-dollar revenue operations and diversifying revenue sources beyond traditional search. His contributions to digital monetization in India, particularly in online sports streaming during the IPL, highlight his expertise and impact in the industry. During his tenure at Twitter, Singh played a key role in establishing the platform's operations across seven countries, driving some of its fastest-growing revenue markets. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial and Digital Officer at Mediacorp from 2017 to 2024, where he led a significant digital and AI transformation, restructured the business model, and fostered partnerships that fueled digital growth at double the industry rate. Singh’s journey began at HCL, followed by a pivotal role at Apple, where he became Head of India Sales during a crucial time marked by the launch of iconic products like the iMac and iPod. He later joined IBM, leading marketing strategy across various regions in Asia-Pacific. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Panjab University.
