The Avengers face an undead Thanos inMarvel Zombiestrailer

Marvel Studios has recently unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming miniseries, Marvel Zombies, reigniting excitement among fans. This new series, set to debut this month, draws inspiration from the Marvel Comics universe and serves as a companion piece to the 2021 What If...? episode that showcased beloved Avengers in a chilling zombified state. Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Six, Marvel Zombies takes a darker turn, continuing the narrative established in the What If...? episode. This storyline began with Hank Pym's mission to rescue his wife, Janet, from the quantum realm. Unfortunately, Janet had fallen victim to a mysterious quantum virus, transforming her into a zombie. During their return to the lab, Hank himself became infected just as they were confronted by Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man. The infection rapidly spread across the northwestern United States, leading to many Avengers succumbing to the zombie apocalypse. Iconic characters such as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Captain America, and Wanda Maximoff were among the heroes who fell to the undead horde. In the face of this threat, Hope Pym emerged as a key figure in the resistance alongside Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and others, fighting to save humanity. The stakes are high as Vision's Mind Stone holds the key to reversing the infection, leading to a desperate sacrifice from Vision himself, as well as Hope and the Hulk. With a plan to harness the Mind Stone's energy in Wakanda, the remaining heroes set out on a perilous journey, unaware that Thanos, now a zombie equipped with a nearly complete Infinity Gauntlet, awaits their arrival.
