Maruti Suzuki India has teamed up with Dolby Laboratories to unveil Dolby Atmos technology in its latest Victoris SUV, marking a significant first for the company in the Indian automotive market. This mid-size SUV is set to redefine in-car audio with a state-of-the-art eight-speaker Infinity by Harman sound system that incorporates Dolby Atmos, promising an immersive auditory experience. The collaboration aims to enhance the entertainment offerings within the vehicle, delivering multidimensional sound that elevates clarity and detail regardless of where passengers are seated. As Dolby Atmos technology continues to gain traction in various media formats—including smartphones, televisions, and cinemas—it is designed to enrich the listening experience for music, podcasts, and streaming services. In the Victoris, this advanced audio technology works seamlessly with Maruti Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro X infotainment system, which allows for over-the-air updates and access to more than 35 applications, along with connectivity options for various OTT platforms. Additionally, the SUV boasts a range of premium features, including Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a powered tailgate. Maruti Suzuki has tailored the Victoris to attract younger consumers who view their vehicles as part of their lifestyle. Karan Grover, Senior Director of Commercial Partnerships for IMEA at Dolby Laboratories, emphasized that this partnership is a pivotal move in bringing Dolby Atmos to a broader audience in India. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer for Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, highlighted that this feature aims to create a unique 'theater on wheels' experience for all passengers.
