
Kering, the parent company of high-end labels such as Gucci, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Yves Saint Laurent, has confirmed a security breach that has compromised customer data. The incident, reported on Monday, involves hackers obtaining sensitive information including names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and customers' total spending across various locations worldwide. According to reports, the cybercriminals did not manage to access credit card information. Kering has reached out to those affected by the breach, although the company has not disclosed the total number of customers involved. The BBC noted that the hacking group responsible, known as ShinyHunters, has claimed to have acquired data associated with approximately 7.4 million email addresses.
