Lovable, the innovative app-building platform driven by AI, is actively seeking to expand through acquisitions. Co-founder and CEO Anton Osika made the announcement on social media, expressing a desire to bring on "more great teams and startups to join Lovable." Osika highlighted that many individuals in influential roles at Lovable were previously founders themselves, emphasizing a company culture that nurtures entrepreneurial spirit. He mentioned, "We’ve built our culture in a way that makes founder-types thrive internally, being able to act autonomously and drive initiatives." The startup’s quest for new talent comes amidst intensifying competition from other platforms such as Cursor, Replit, and Bolt, as well as the capabilities of advanced AI models. Lovable's head of growth, Elena Verna, has voiced concerns about competing against major AI entities like OpenAI and Anthropic. Despite these competitive challenges, Lovable continues to experience significant growth, recently reporting an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $400 million, a substantial increase from $200 million at the close of 2025. The platform is generating over 200,000 new vibe-coding projects daily, showcasing its rising popularity. This isn't Lovable's first foray into mergers and acquisitions; the company previously acquired the cloud service provider Molnett to enhance its cloud infrastructure team. TechCrunch has reached out to Lovable for further details on the specific types of startups or teams they are interested in acquiring.
