The landscape of employment is shifting, and LinkedIn's CEO, Ryan Roslansky, believes that soft skills are poised for a significant transformation. In a recent discussion on the "Tools and Weapons" podcast, he highlighted that as AI takes over routine tasks, four key human skills—curiosity, courage, communication, and compassion—are becoming increasingly valuable. Roslansky emphasized the importance of these skills in enhancing job performance, stating, "These turn out to be some really, really important skills to do your job well." He envisions a future where the integration of human capabilities and AI fosters a more optimistic outlook on work, enabling professionals to dream bigger about the potential of technology in the workplace. While Roslansky's perspective draws from extensive LinkedIn data, he refrained from sharing specific statistics during the interview.
