In an exciting move for gamers in India, LG has unveiled its innovative Gaming Portal, enabling console-free cloud gaming for Smart TV users across the nation. This new platform aggregates over 4,000 cloud-streamed games and features more than 600 free-to-play titles, all accessible without the need for a gaming console. Central to this initiative is the integration of the Xbox app on LG Smart TVs, which allows players to stream popular games directly from the cloud. The Gaming Portal aims to simplify the gaming experience by combining content from various global partners, allowing users to easily browse and launch a wide array of games, from blockbuster releases to indie gems. With a subscription to Xbox Game Pass, a reliable internet connection, and a compatible controller, gamers can dive into hits like Forza Horizon 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and Raji: An Ancient Epic. Brian Jung, Director at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We’re thrilled to bring LG Gaming Portal with Xbox to LG Smart TVs in India. This platform is designed to enhance accessibility and enjoyment for all types of gamers, whether they are hardcore enthusiasts or casual players." LG's Smart TVs are equipped with advanced gaming features such as G-Sync compatibility, up to 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), an impressive 0.1ms response time certified by Intertek, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium and Clear MR 10000 on select models. These enhancements promise to deliver superior performance for fast-paced gaming experiences. The rollout of the Gaming Portal and Xbox app is currently underway for compatible LG webOS TVs released between 2021 and 2025, with further availability anticipated through software updates across major cities in India. Users can easily access the portal from the LG home screen and start gaming by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass. To facilitate this new gaming experience, Microsoft has introduced three subscription tiers for Indian players. Each plan auto-renews unless cancelled and provides access to a library of games across consoles, PCs, and supported cloud devices. - **Essential Plan**: First month for ₹99, then ₹499/month. Access to 50+ games, online multiplayer, and earn rewards points. - **Premium Plan**: First 14 days for ₹99, then ₹699/month. Over 200 games available, including new titles within 12 months of launch, and additional rewards. - **Ultimate Plan**: Priced at ₹1,389/month, offering access to 400+ games, new games on day one, and extensive rewards opportunities. With this launch, LG is set to redefine the gaming landscape in India, making high-quality gaming experiences more accessible than ever before.
