Legora, a Swedish startup making waves in the legal technology sector, has reached an impressive milestone by generating $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). This achievement underscores a growing trend among law firms that are ready to invest significantly in innovative solutions that enhance legal workflows. In an exclusive interview with Business Insider, Legora revealed that its revenue skyrocketed from $1 million to $100 million in less than 18 months following its public launch. The company’s cutting-edge software is designed to streamline various legal tasks, enabling lawyers to efficiently navigate data rooms, compare contracts, and draft legal briefs—often at a fraction of the cost typically associated with junior lawyers. Max Junestrand, Legora's cofounder and CEO, expressed pride in the company's rapid growth, stating, "This is a reflection of how quickly our customers are pushing the industry forward. They're redefining how legal work gets done, and AI is becoming the core infrastructure for the profession." Legora's substantial revenue growth has contributed to its valuation of $5.55 billion in recent funding rounds. However, the company still trails behind its competitor, Harvey, which recently announced it surpassed $200 million in ARR and boasts a valuation of $11 billion. Despite this competition, Legora has successfully expanded its client base, serving over 1,000 customers, including prestigious firms like Cleary Gottlieb, HSF Kramer, White & Case, and Linklaters.
