Lava Storm Play and Lava Storm Lite to launch in India on 13 June

Lava has officially announced that its latest mid-range smartphones, the Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G, are set to hit the Indian market on June 13. This launch comes as the brand looks to re-establish its presence after the original Lava Storm was introduced earlier this year. The Lava Storm Play 5G will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor, alongside LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. According to leaked information, this model could feature an expansive 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a robust 50MP primary rear camera. Teaser images released by Lava reveal a striking blue variant adorned with a white stripe and a dual circular camera design complemented by an LED flash. Users will find the power button and volume controls conveniently located on the right side of the device. On the other hand, the Storm Lite is expected to showcase a similar 6.78-inch 120Hz LCD display, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, marking its debut in India. This chip is an upgrade from last year's Dimensity 6300, which was widely used in budget smartphones. The teaser for the Storm Lite highlights a stylish golden-white finish and a unique squircle-shaped camera module featuring two circular lenses with elegant golden rings, alongside a flash. The presence of "50MP" branding beneath the flash suggests that this model may share the same primary sensor as its more advanced counterpart. Both the Storm Play and Storm Lite will be available for purchase through Lava's official E-store and Amazon. While specific pricing details have yet to be disclosed, both devices are anticipated to be priced below ₹20,000. In related developments, Lava recently launched the Bold N1 Pro smartphone in India, which is priced under ₹7,000 and features an IP54 rating along with an Octa-core UNISOC T606 processor.
