Lava, an emerging player in the smartphone market, has introduced its latest budget device, the Blaze Dragon 5G. This launch is part of the company's recent focus on affordable smartphones, aiming to attract cost-conscious consumers. Priced at ₹9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, the Blaze Dragon 5G is now available for pre-order. To celebrate its launch, Lava is offering a promotional discount of ₹1,000 during the Amazon Great Freedom Festival, effectively lowering the price to ₹8,999. Additionally, customers can benefit from a further ₹1,000 off when exchanging any old smartphone. The Blaze Dragon 5G boasts impressive specifications, featuring a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 450 nits. Notably, it is the first Lava smartphone to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, specifically the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which utilizes a modern 4nm process from TSMC. The device is equipped with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring swift performance and ample space for apps and media. Powering the Blaze Dragon is a robust 5,000mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging, with the charger included in the box. Running on Android 15 with a clean Stock Android interface, Lava promises a year of OS updates and two years of security patches, ensuring users stay up-to-date without unwanted bloatware. For photography enthusiasts, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G will be available in two elegant color options: Golden Mist and Midnight Mist, set to hit the shelves on Amazon starting August 1 at 12 PM.
