Lava Agni 4 to launch in India on 20 November: here's what to expect

Lava is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphone, the Agni 4, on November 20. This new addition to the Agni series boasts a robust metal frame and a distinctive pill-shaped camera module featuring a dual-camera setup. Notably, the new model will include a dual speaker arrangement and a flat display, departing from last year’s design that featured a secondary display on the rear. The Agni 4 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, although the specific model has yet to be disclosed. According to rumors, this device may sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Speculation suggests it could utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, which is also found in devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Infinix GT 30 Pro. In terms of storage, the phone might feature UFS 4.0 technology, enhancing its appeal in the mid-range market. Additionally, leaks indicate that the Agni 4 could house a substantial 7,000mAh battery, although details regarding its charging capabilities remain unclear. A recent listing on the IECEE certification site hints at a Lava device with a 7,000mAh battery, reinforcing the belief that it may belong to the Agni 4 line, especially since previous models typically had a 5,000mAh battery. The dual-camera system is anticipated to include a 50MP primary sensor alongside an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Users can expect a nearly stock Android experience free from bloatware, a feature consistent with Lava’s previous offerings. While pricing details for the Agni 4 are currently unavailable, the Agni 3 launched at ₹20,999, suggesting a probable price point under ₹25,000 for the upcoming model. This positions the Agni 4 to compete head-to-head with popular models such as the OnePlus Nord CE 5, Infinix GT 30, and Poco X7.
