From wearables to AI storytelling: Jio launches Frames, JioPC, RIYA, Voice Print at RIL AGM

At the 2025 Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting, Akash Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, introduced an array of innovative products under the Jio brand, marking a significant milestone in the company's evolution. Reflecting on his journey with Jio, Ambani expressed pride in the company's growth, noting, "Jio is where I began my professional journey, faced challenges, learned lessons, and found my purpose. Today, Jio serves over 500 million happy customers, outnumbering the populations of the US, the UK, and France combined." Among the highlights of the event was the unveiling of JioFrames, described as an AI-driven wearable ecosystem tailored for the Indian lifestyle. This device supports multiple Indian languages and features Jio's multilingual AI voice assistant. Ambani stated, "It is a hands-free, AI-powered companion designed for the way India lives, works, and plays," allowing users to capture HD photos, record videos, and store memories directly in the Jio AI Cloud. Additionally, JioPC was launched, which Ambani characterized as a revolutionary product that can turn any TV or monitor into a fully functional, AI-capable computer. By connecting a keyboard to a Jio Set-Top Box, users can utilize a virtual computer powered by Jio's cloud services. "You simply pay for what you use, ensuring that JioPC is always up-to-date and secure, with the flexibility to upgrade memory and storage as needed," he explained. The event also saw the introduction of RIYA, a voice-enabled search assistant for JioStar, aimed at making content discovery seamless. "In a world overflowing with content, RIYA simplifies the search process. Just ask, and it delivers what you want to watch without the hassle of scrolling or searching," Ambani said. Finally, the announcement of Voice Print showcased a new dimension in storytelling. With this feature, JioHotstar users can enjoy their favorite sports and entertainment in their preferred Indian languages, utilizing AI voice cloning and lip-sync technology. "Your favorite stars will not just be dubbed; they will speak in your language, maintaining the authenticity of their performance," Ambani concluded, promising a more immersive viewing experience.
