iQOO has announced that both the iQOO Neo 7 and the Neo 7 Pro will receive the upcoming OriginOS 6 update, powered by Android 16, in the first half of 2026. This confirmation was shared on the company’s community forum, where iQOO emphasized that users can expect a revamped design, improved performance, and a more seamless experience with this update. The introduction of OriginOS 6 marks a significant shift for iQOO and Vivo users in India, as it will replace the long-standing Funtouch OS. The rollout is scheduled to kick off in November 2025 for flagship models, with the Neo 7 series being included after iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya announced that additional Neo devices would also be eligible for this update. As the rollout approaches, iQOO advises users to back up essential data, ensure their devices are connected to Wi-Fi, and have at least 50% battery charge before initiating the update process. OriginOS 6 promises to enhance the user experience with a modern interface, optimized system performance, and AI-driven features that align with the capabilities of Android 16.
