iQOO has officially announced the upcoming launch of its highly anticipated R-series smartphone, the iQOO 15R, scheduled for February 24, 2026, in India. Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India, revealed this exciting news through a post on X (previously known as Twitter), showcasing the phone's design alongside its launch date. Positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to the iQOO 15, which debuted last year, specific details about the iQOO 15R's features and specifications are still under wraps. Marya's announcement included an intriguing tagline: "Power is about to find its perfect fit," urging fans to mark their calendars. Speculations suggest that the iQOO 15R may be inspired by the iQOO Z11 Turbo available in China, featuring a similar design but potentially different specifications tailored for the Indian market. According to its Geekbench listing, the iQOO 15R is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and come with 8GB of RAM. It is anticipated to run on Android 16, possibly sporting the Origin OS skin. Rumors indicate that the device could feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, a dual camera setup is likely, which may include an impressive 200MP primary camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. To support all this, a robust 7,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging capabilities is also speculated. As with its predecessor, the iQOO 15R aims to deliver performance and efficiency at a more accessible price point, making it an attractive option for consumers seeking value. As the launch date approaches, tech enthusiasts eagerly await the final confirmation of the features and specifications of the iQOO 15R, hoping it will cater to a wide range of users.
