iQOO 15 key specifications leaked ahead of launch: Here's what to expect

The anticipation builds as iQOO prepares to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, in China next month, followed by a global release. Recent leaks have provided intriguing insights into the device's specifications, including its display, processing power, camera capabilities, and audio features. According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) via Weibo, the iQOO 15 is expected to sport a sizable 6.85-inch 2K Samsung display with a remarkable 144Hz refresh rate. Confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the device will also feature a self-developed Q3 chip, enhancing its performance. On the photography front, the iQOO 15 is rumored to include a robust 50MP triple-camera system, maintaining the lineage of its predecessor. Users can also look forward to a dual-speaker arrangement and the inclusion of an X-axis vibration motor for improved haptic feedback. The smartphone is anticipated to house a massive 7,000mAh battery, along with support for an impressive 100W wired fast charging. Notably, the device is expected to retain its predecessor's impressive waterproof capabilities, with an IP68 + IP69 rating. Leaked information suggests that the iQOO 15 will make its way to India around November or December, aligning with the launch schedule of the iQOO 13, which debuted in early December of the previous year. While the official launch date in China remains unconfirmed, it is slated for October. iQOO enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the iQOO 15 will debut with Origin OS 6 in both the Chinese and Indian markets. However, the Indian version may differ slightly, as manufacturers typically do not include Google apps in their Chinese models. The preview program for Origin OS 6 commenced in India on September 29, with a broader rollout set for October 15. This new operating system will replace the previous FuntouchOS 15, which faced criticism for its ads and bloatware, while also lacking several popular features found in competitors' UIs like Samsung's One UI and OnePlus's OxygenOS.
