iQOO 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, OriginOS 6 launching in India

iQOO has officially announced that its flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, will be launched in India next month. This upcoming device will feature Qualcomm's cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with the newly introduced OriginOS 6, which is built on Android 16. While many details about the iQOO 15 are still under wraps, the phone is anticipated to make its first appearance in China on October 20. Following this launch, additional specifications are expected to be revealed. The Chinese variant is set to include a Q3 Gaming chip alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, promising enhanced gaming performance with capabilities such as full-scenario ray tracing and improved frame stability. In terms of gaming, the device is expected to support gameplay at 144fps with a stunning 2K resolution. Additionally, it will boast an advanced 8K vapor chamber Dome cooling system, which reportedly offers a 47% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to its predecessor, the iQOO 13. Display-wise, leaks indicate that the iQOO 15 may feature a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO Samsung "Everest" AMOLED screen, capable of achieving a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Similar to last year's model, the iQOO 15 is likely to include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. The smartphone is also rumored to house a substantial 7,000mAh battery, supporting both 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. On the camera front, the iQOO 15 could be equipped with a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A powerful 50MP front camera is expected to complete the setup. The iQOO 15 is poised to be one of the first high-end Chinese smartphones to arrive in India. Its predecessor, the iQOO 13, was launched in December, but the earlier release of the iQOO 15 may be influenced by the upcoming OnePlus 15, which is rumored to debut in mid-November.
