iQOO has made an official announcement regarding the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, scheduled to hit the Indian market on November 26. This confirmation comes from Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, via a post on X. This date marks a slight adjustment from earlier speculation that suggested a November 27 reveal. An Amazon microsite dedicated to the iQOO 15 is now active, revealing that the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Additionally, it will run on OriginOS 6, built on Android 16, replacing the previously used Funtouch OS interface in India. While iQOO has not yet disclosed the complete specifications for the Indian variant, the iQOO 15 was unveiled in China on October 20, providing insight into what users can expect. The Chinese model boasts a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung M14 AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 1,440×3,168 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 130Hz touch sampling rate, indicating its suitability for high-end gaming and multimedia experiences. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside an Adreno 840 GPU. It is anticipated that the Indian model will also incorporate iQOO's proprietary Q3 gaming chip, aimed at improving frame stability and minimizing latency during gaming sessions. The Chinese variant offers configurations of up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, suggesting similar options may be available for Indian consumers. In terms of photography, the iQOO 15 features a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, users will find a 32-megapixel selfie camera, likely positioned within a centered punch-hole cutout. A notable highlight of the Chinese model is its impressive 7,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. This combination positions it among the largest batteries available in flagship smartphones, promising all-day usage for power users. While pricing, storage options, and color variants for the Indian launch remain undisclosed, the iQOO 15 is set to compete with leading devices from brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Samsung in the premium smartphone category. With the November 26 launch date confirmed, iQOO is gearing up to introduce one of its most formidable smartphones to the Indian audience.
